VITAMIN D RICH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES


 Hi guys... Hope you all doing well!!! In today's blog am sharing with you some information which I know about vitamin D and also about some fruits and vegetables which contain vitamin D.
          I also want to mention that am not a nutritionist or health advisor. These information are what I have heard and learnt. So guys please don't judge me.

Major Role Of Vitamin D In Our Body:

                             

  Vitamin D plays a major role in protecting against cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, autoimmune disease and depression. It also helps in bone health as well as in immune, nerve and muscle function. Vitamin D has other role in body including modulation of cell growth, neuromuscular and immune function and inflammation reduction.

Amount Of Vitamin D Required:

                                 Most children and adult age 1 to 70 need 600 IU of vitamin D per day, thought adult need a bit more than that.

Vitamin D From Sun:

                                     
   Sunshine vitamin is the other name for vitamin D. Our body can actually absorb vitamin D from direct sunlight exposure. According to NIH, 5-30 minutes of sun exposure from 10 am to 3 pm twice a week is actually enough  to help boost vitamin D intake.
                                     Vitamin D is also known as calciferol sources includes fatty fish like salmon, egg yolk and cheese. Vitamin D deficiency cause RICKETS.

Vitamins D Rich Food:

                                   Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin that are naturally present in few foods. These are few food items which have good source of vitamin D. 
Cereal, whole milk, oatmeal, beef liver, orange, oyster, egg, goat cheese, mushroom, swiss cheese, pork tenderloin, canned salmon, cod liver oil, sardian, shrimp, butter etc.

Berries:

         
  Berries are one which is favourite for everyone. Blueberries, cherries and blackberries are great in taste as well as contain beneficial elements. They prevent you from cancer and also keeps  the heart protected. It is one of the fruit which hold the great source of vitamin D.

Pineapples:

               
           Pineapple, which is my all time favorite fruit which has a sweet but tangy tropical taste. You will be surprised to know what vitamins are in this wonderful fruit.
Ripe pineapple are excellent source of vitamin D and vitamin C which is excellent for a healthy immune system. It also helps to prevent blood clot.



Oranges:

           
  A citric fruit with a sweet taste and which has a good amount of calcium in it. It has a good source of mineral which helps to build and preserve sturdy bones and teeth. Orange also has an amazing supply of vitamin D.

Shiitake mushroom:

                   
  Shiitake mushroom has found to have more vitamin D. The vitamin D level in these mushroom are between 100 IU/100 gram to nearly 46000 IU/100 gram.
Mushrooms are not only a good source of vitamin D but also it gives many opportunities for maintaining and improving health.

Pumpkin And Sweet potato:

       

   Pumpkin and sweet potato are loaded with nutrients. Similar to pumpkin, sweet potato also has vitamin B, C and D. They are high in carotenoids. Vitamin D present in these vegetables helps in building healthy bone, nerve, blood vessel, skin and teeth.

Avocado:

       
Avocado is virtually the only fruit which helps to get healthy skin, hair and helps in cutting down the aging process. It contain good fat. It's been used in many skincare and haircare products. Avocado can act as a nutrient booster by helping in increasing the absorption of fat soluble nutrients such as vitamin D, A, K and E.
